Figs cake by #fabio87fabio

 Sweets, ice creams and tarts for every palate! The world is full of recipes and this one in particular has been sent to us by Fabio87fabio. Well? Let’s try it!  

Obviously, as usual, you will need to go to the market you have at home or nearby, unless, by a fortuitous coincidence, which I doubt it, you don’t already have all the ingredients in your pantry!


INGREDIENTS:torta ai fichi  

  • 1 roll of puff pastry or brisee
  • 400 gr of fresh figs
  • 75 gr of peeled almond powder
  • 50 gr of brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g of butter
  • Honey q.b.
  • First, melt the butter in a saucepan and, as soon as it is melted, keep aside and let it cool.
  • Switch the almonds to the mixer to create a powder and keep aside.
  • In a container, break an egg and start to whisk
  • Add the sugar and as soon as the cream is thick add the melted butter and continue to work with the electric whisk until everything has blended.
  • Add the almond powder and mix with a spatula.
  • Meanwhile, turn the oven on 180 degrees.
  • Roll out the puff pastry into a cake tin then peck and then add the previously created dough.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Dedicate yourself to the figs wash them and dry them with kitchen paper and divide them into 4 parts.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the cake from the oven and place the figs on the surface and brush with honey to taste.
  • Bake again for another 10 minutes
  • When the puff pastry is baked, leave it to cool before serving.
  • REMEMBER: the fig cake is kept in the refrigerator at least 1 day.

The wine that I recommend, unless you have liver problems or you are teetotal, is a Romagna Albana passito DOCG
